SentinelOne University, usually shortened to S1U, is the training arm for the Singularity platform: endpoint protection, XDR and the Purple AI assistant that turns natural language questions into hunting queries and summarises incidents. There are two tiers. Essentials is free for customers and covers foundations, deployment and short Learning Bytes. Premium is an annual subscription and is where the useful material lives: interactive lab courses for enterprise administrators, incident responders, threat hunters and security engineers, weekly S1U Live webinars with SentinelOne staff, and the certification exams with Credly badges. SentinelOne does not publish Premium pricing and sends you to your account rep.
A User Access Pack gives a named person a year of the on-demand courses, labs and virtual machines. The lab courses are the part I rate. Endpoint and XDR tools are learned by chasing real telemetry, and SentinelOne has set that up properly. An incident responder who does the Premium path will be faster in the console, and that shows up directly in response times. Purple AI is the reason many people now search for SentinelOne training, and the coverage is disappointing. There is a course called Enhancing Cybersecurity with Purple AI and an S1U Live session on it, and that is about it.
What an analyst needs is practice at checking the assistant: reading the query it generated, spotting when a summary has skipped the one process tree that matters, knowing when to drop back to manual hunting. The vendor has every reason to show the assistant being right. It has much less reason to train you to catch it being wrong, and that shows in how thin this material is. The other big limitation is access. Everything here requires a customer or partner relationship.
That puts S1U with ZoomInfo, Salesloft and Sisense on our list of academies that are closed to the people who would most benefit from a public credential. Search results are full of third-party SentinelOne training and certification courses; those are not SentinelOne certifications. My take: good operational training for existing customers, worth paying Premium for your hunters and responders, and not yet the place to learn how to work with an AI analyst.
