Glide has done the structural work that most no code vendors skip. There are three certification levels with actual progression, Level 1 covering the interface, data and layout, automation, and security and users, Level 2 moving into data fundamentals, manipulation, computation and user experience, and Level 3 unlocking only once the first two are done. There are further certifications in building AI business software and intelligent automation. All of it is free, the certification is free, and you do not need an account to reach the learning material.
That last detail is a small thing that says something. Most vendors treat education as a lead capture surface, and Glide simply opened it. Two decisions deserve praise. Putting security and users in Level 1 rather than burying it in an advanced module is the right instinct, because these apps are frequently built by people who are not developers and who are wiring business data to a shareable link.
Getting them to think about who can see what before they have built anything is far more effective than warning them afterwards. And expiring certifications after two years is quietly honest. Platforms change, a credential from four years ago proves little, and building the decay into the scheme rather than pretending otherwise is more integrity than this category usually shows. My hesitation is commercial.
Glide overhauled its pricing effective the first of November 2025, running from a free tier through Explorer at around nineteen dollars a month, Maker at forty nine and Business at a hundred and ninety nine on annual billing. The change that actually matters to a learner is that from the thirty first of October 2025 free plans can no longer publish live apps. That reframes the whole free certification. You can learn everything, pass three levels, and still not put anything in front of a real user without paying.
None of the learning material mentions this, which is understandable commercially and leaves people to discover it at the worst possible moment. The AI business software certification is also thinner than its title suggests. It teaches you to wire AI features into a Glide app competently enough, and it does not engage much with the harder questions of when a language model is the wrong component, how to handle it being confidently wrong in front of a customer, or what to do about cost. And as with every vendor curriculum, the data fundamentals are Glide's data fundamentals.
You will understand this platform's model well and general relational thinking only incidentally. Three point five. Genuinely well structured, genuinely free, and marked down for teaching a product its own maker has hinted is being replaced.
